The same goes with menu books. You can expect how good your food will be based on how well the menu book is designed and how the dishes are photographed. Simple layouting with striking visuals can bring a boring layout to life. We use the green tone to bring the freshness and healthier feel to the website. This site features an online menu book and articles about signature dishes the restaurant offers.
We aim to make the excitement of opening a menu book to a website. The top section includes a main heading 'Experience a Fusion of Cultures and Flavors in Our International Dishes' and a subheading with yellow highlights. This introduces the visitor to the restaurant and give them an expectation to read more. There are 2 CTA buttons to make a reservation and explore menu.
Below the top section we display cards containing the picture of the dish, the dish name, description and price. This cards usually shows the most popular dishes and can be changed according to the promotions of the restaurant. It is also draggable and there are also navigation arrows at the top right to help moving the cards back and forth.
For the third section, we have the featured dish section where we display the most important dish that the restaurant want's customers to try. A large picture of the dish and a short paragraph of a backstory. There is also a CTA to make bookings for the dish.
The next section is the menu catalog where we can see all the dishes that the restauran has. A sidebar on the left helps with navigation. When the visitor clicks an option at the sidebard, the cards on the right will change accordingly.
Tha last section is a 'From the Grill' section where the restaurant can show off it's grilled dish specialty. It shows only 2 cards but there is an option to see all by clicking the yellow CTA.
