The news website is one of the oldest website type of all. Since the introduction of the internet, newspaper companies started to publish their news not only on paper but also on the internet to reach a wider audience. We design this news page in dark background and included features like live tv and news video archives.
On the top section you will see a full width navigation menu with the most important topics for easy navigation. Almost all news website designed their navigation menu in full width because of the need to display as many as possible categories to interest the visitor.
The first section below the navbar is the main news section, the place for the hottest and the latest news to catch the visitors attention. Just a simple section with large full width image, article heading and time published.
Below the main news section, we have the breaking news section to support the first section in capturing attention. On the left news we also see the live coverage of the breaking news. It is crucial in the modern news website to provide live streaming for an engaging experience.
The next sections below are combinations of layout built for a news website. We have the grid layout and also the mini cards layout. This just to show that with a news website, the possibility is endless and almost all layout type will work. The main important is as always the image quality and the 'catchyness' of the headline.
